The board of the Northern Counties Soccer Association would like to thank its clubs, coaches, players and parents for their continuing support of our league. Each and every season, the levels of competition steadily improve due to everyone's commitment to making the youth playing experience as good as it can be.

As your President, I am committed to continuing the progress that has been made in every facet of our operation. We will continue to upgrade our web site and its functions as well as the communications between the league and its clubs. And we look to offer additional instructional information and seminars to new coaches and new parents on the rules and nuances of soccer. Nothing is more thrilling than to hear young parents new to our sport extolling its virtues as they are introduced to the challenges and excitement soccer creates for their children.

I am also indebted to the members of your board. No one person can run this league without the tireless support, work ethic and endless hours that my 20 colleagues provide on an almost daily basis. To them I owe a word of thanks.

The legendary Pele accurately calls it "The Beautiful Game". You need no special size to compete. Short or tall, large or small, every child is welcome to participate in our great game. The Northern Counties Soccer Association will stay committed to making each and every season better than the one before.

The Mission Statement of the Northern Counties Soccer Association is to allow development of youth soccer players. This is done by providing and administering a schedule of matches among our member clubs and by promoting the sport and a creating a passion for soccer in keeping with the motto, "Enjoy The Beautiful Game".

In order to accomplish this goal we, the Board of Northern Counties, will:

• Provide and administer Youth (19 and under) Soccer programs at all levels of play and for both genders.
• Promote the development of soccer excellence for all players, through competition and training programs.
• Communicate with and assist our member clubs to promote soccer among its constituents and to the public in general.
• Help to train and mentor all coaches in our league.
• Educate member clubs, coaches, administrators and players' families through our outreach program.
• Strive to provide the best referee program possible to support fair play in our league.
• Comply with state and federal requirements for operation as a non-profit corporation.
• Be a member league of New Jersey Youth Soccer Association (NJYSA) and comply with NJYSA, USYSA and USSF rules and regulations applicable to our league
